MITERED CORNERS
Crafted from a selection of optional hardwoods, the frame utilizes mitered corners joined together with a triple locked blind dovetail insert.

DECORATIVE INLAYS
Decorative inlays complement the corners giving the Root reformer the look of fine furniture.

MORTISE AND SPLINE CONSTRUCTION
The legs are joined to the frame with mortise and spline construction.

HAND RUBBED FINISH
All of the wood surfaces are finished with environmentally friendly water-based acrylic lacquer. This hand rubbed finish provides an uncompromised look and feel adding protection and durability to the hardwood frame.

PREMIUM UPHOLSTERY
Our upholstery combined with premium foam is pulled by hand to stretch the material firmly. This provides superior support while it resists sagging, and adds durability for rigorous studio use. Root upholstery has antimicrobial/antibacterial protection and is stain resistant.

While most equipment manufactures offer "packaged units", Root has developed a flexible approach that allows our customers to build a reformer around the specific needs of their studio or as an individual. With over 50 options in size, components, wood species and upholstery colors, we can build a reformer to fit your requirements. LEG STYLE:

STANDING PLATFORM:

A standing platform can be built into the frame at the time of order, or you can purchase a removable side split platform that can be added and removed at any time. (See accessories)

GEAR SYSTEM:
Reformers can be ordered with a three or four gear position system. The fourth gear allows the carriage to move closer to the foot bar.

LEATHER OR ROPE STRAPS
Root reformers with leather strap option are supplied with spool pulleys (which eliminate drag on the pulley housing), handles and long spine straps. Leather straps are prestretched and punched with 26 positioning holes for maximum adjustability. Root's unique top-of-carriage strap attachment makes for easy and quick strap adjustment.

Root reformers with rope option are supplied with stainless steel swivel pulleys, cam locks, and hygienic padded handles. Rope straps are made form safety climbing rope, which has minimal stretch and resist fraying.

RISERS:
The Root reformer has three riser options, all of which can be used with leather or rope strap systems.

The fixed riser is permanently mounted to the frame and cannot be used with a combination system (15" range).

The removable riser has the same range as the fixed riser (15"), but can be removed for use with mat systems.

Retractable risers fold in the frame and have a smaller range (7").

FOOT BAR
Every Root reformer comes with 4 foot bar positions, including down. Three additional positions can be added by incorporating a second "U" bar. Foot bars are made from anodized aluminum tubing with radiused corners for comfort and have a fully padded, wrap around, hygienic cover.

SPRINGS
Root reformers are provided with either a 4 spring or 5 spring configuration. Springs are electroplated, a rust preventative, and can be ordered unplated. Reformer springs are availble in: heavy, medium, light, and extra light; and can be combined as desired.

BOX SELECTIONS
All boxes have smooth radiused edges for maximum comfort. Optional edge protection, to prevent unsightly wear on the bottom edge, is available at the time of purchase.

The Classic (smaller) box is provided with the 26.5” wide frames. The oversized (large) box is provided with 28.5” wide frames.

STAINLESS STEEL POLES
Our poles are made from stainless steel. Not only is this more environmentally sound, it eliminates any possibilities for rust, metal flaking or discoloration found with chrome plated, galvanized steel or aluminum.

Vertical poles are polished stainless, stainless steel canopy poles are provided in a specially ground and hand rubbed finish to improve grip.

Poles may be mounted to the sides of the frames creating a wider push through bar (ideal for broad shoulders and expansion to full cadillac). End mounted poles are also available.
